This month we have something very exciting to tell you about! To celebrate lead dentist Quintus Germishuy’s 25 years of owning the Wellesley Dental Practice we are having an OPEN DAY here at the Practice on Friday 14th October.
If you’re already a patient at the Wellesley you may be wondering how you might benefit from coming along – apart from getting to spend some time with your favourite dental team of course – but we have some fantastic special offers which will only be available on the day, along with demonstrations of some of our newest equipment. If you have been thinking about trying something new, this will give you the opportunity to talk it through in person and find out more about the wide range of services that we have to offer.
Demonstrations
You may have heard us talking about our GBT Airflow machine, but have you tried it yet? This wonderful piece of high-tech Swiss equipment is recommended by our hygienists as the best way to keep your teeth and gums healthy without any scraping or poking around!
The AIRFLOW® machine uses a system called Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) to remove plaque (biofilm) and other debris painlessly and effortlessly. It projects a high pressure stream of air, body temperature water and a fine coloured powder onto your teeth. The powder tastes pleasant and colours the teeth to disclose any plaque, enabling us to systematically clean your whole mouth without missing a thing. The fine stream means it can also gently remove stubborn stains that may be located in some of the fine grooves of your teeth. It is also very quick and we don’t need to scrape or brush or do anything else that might damage the surface of your teeth in order to gently remove plaque, stains and discolouration.
We will be giving demonstrations of the Airflow machine throughout the day and if you sign up for an appointment in person at the Open Day you will get 25% off when you have your treatment. We are sure that once you’ve tried GBT, you’ll want to do it again!
We will also be demonstrating our iTero 3D Intra-Oral Scanner, designed to give you the clearest picture of your mouth and teeth – and what we expect them to look like after you’ve completed a course of treatment such as Invisalign.

Suitable for children and adults alike, Invisalign offer you the chance to get the smile you’ve always wanted without chunky metal braces. Invisalign uses a series of almost invisible, removable aligners that are individually moulded to fit your teeth. By changing these aligners every two weeks, it is possible to gradually move your teeth into the desired position. It is comfortable to wear and can be removed when you want to eat or drink, brush your teeth, or for special occasions.
Using our advanced digital imaging systems here at the practice we can also show you in advance what your teeth will look like once your treatment is complete.
